You can buy Wild Salmon off the dock and boat from real BC Commercial Fishers in a wide variety of locations across BC.

If you shop carefully and know a little about how to choose salmon you can get a great deal and a Wild Salmon that might have been caught only a few hours earlier. TRULY FRESH!!

Look for a vendor who has a high standard of cleanliness. Make sure too they have good product knowledge and that they handle their stock properly. Don't be shy to ask the Fisher where and when they caught their salmon.


When buying frozen seafood make sure it's frozen solid, or if buying it fresh, that it's displayed on ice. Also keep your salmon insulated and cold while you transport it home. Don't buy it in the morning and leave it in the car all day.
