How to Pan Grill Wild BC Salmon
Even if it’s not BBQ weather outside, you can still enjoy the delicious flavour of grilled wild salmon in the warmth and comfort of your kitchen. You can follow these steps to cook the perfect fillet using a grill-pan or BBQ.
Ingredients
1-2 large Wild BC Salmon fillet(s), thawed (depending on the # of people to feed) - you can keep the skin on if you wish!
1/2 teaspoon organic coarse ground black pepper
Fresh or dried herbs - choose your favourites!
1 lemon
Non stick cooking spray
Directions
Spray a grill pan with non-stick cooking spray, and allow it to heat over medium high heat for two minutes or so, until it is hot.
Place the fish into the pan. If you are using skin-on salmon, put the flesh side down first and cook for about 4 to 5 minutes.
Flip it over, and cook on the other side for another 4 to 5 minutes.
Remove fillets from pan, the inside may still be translucent in the very centre, but will continue to cook internally while the fillets rest for 10 minutes on a plate
Squeeze lemon juice, pepper, and your choice of herbs on the fillets and serve!
